DESIGN
SERVICES
Staff
Design
- Develop
specifications and drawings for construction and renovation contracts.
- Serve
as contracting officer's technical representative (COTR) on construction
renovation projects.
- Prepare
rough order of magnitude and detailed cost estimates.
Contract
A&E Design
- Assist
in developing statements of work for A&E design services.
- Negotiate
A&E design contracts and fees.
- Contract
for and administer A&E design contracts.
- Provide
independent reviews of A&E design documents.
- Serve
as liaison between client and A&E.
- Attend
coordination and progress meetings and represent clients.
CONSTRUCTION
MANAGEMENT
- Review
and approve construction schedule.
- Develop
construction inspection schedule.
- Perform
construction inspections.
- Perform
contractor submittal reviews.
- Review
contractor change requests.
- Review
and approve requests for progress payments.
FACILITY
CONDITION SURVEYS
- Inspect
site for mechanical, electrical, architectural and structural condition.
- Review
for life-safety, accessibility and building code compliance.
Reports
Survey
will be documented in a comprehensive report. Written reports will consist
of an executive summary, prioritized list of findings, cost estimates
and suggested schedule for repairs. Report will also include copies
of field write-ups, photographic documentation of each finding and video
tapes as needed.
