Transportation Services
Arrange for the shipment of furniture, specialized equipment, delicate instruments, and other office and laboratory equipment within the continental United States and internationally.
- Provide cost estimates for shipments.
- Select carrier and prepare shipping documents.
- Follow up on shipments until completion, including assisting in resolution with carrier for lost or damaged claims.
- Provide training on shipping procedures and preparation of shipping documentation.
- Issue authorization to qualified persons to ship government materials.
- Periodically
review files to assure compliance with regulations.
- Arrange for the shipment of household goods (Employee Permanent Change of Station moves), within the continental United States and internationally.
- Provide cost estimates for shipments.
- Select carrier and prepare shipping documents.
- Counsel employee concerning procedures and insurance options available.
- Process claims of damage to household goods shipments.
Prepare documentation and clear shipments through Customs.
Provide certified training in the shipping and handling of hazardous materials.
